Ahhhh, so much to do, so little time…but of what little time I have, I can squeeze in a 54321 post really quickly. I’ll even include eight songs.
In this edition, I’ll post some tracks from one of my favorite electronic musicians, Fred Falke. I found out about his music from a friend in the Air Force when we were in broadcasting school together in 2003 — we shared a mutual respect and love for house music and at the time, Falke created music with electronic artist Alan Braxe (as you’ll hear in “Most Wanted” below).
Before I begin the countdown though, it bears mentioning that Falke released a new track recently called “Back to Stay.” Interesting to note that he released a preliminary version of the song heard on BBC Radio 1 — called “When I Look Into Your Eyes.” Imeem didn’t have it, but thank God for YouTube:
Great track, but unfortunately it appeared Mr. Falke couldn’t get the sample cleared so he Slap Chopped it up into a track called “Back To Stay.”
As long as Fred Falke keeps on making music like that, no other electronic artist could ever compare.
Anyway, here’s the 54321 for the week, with three bonus tracks thrown in for good measure. Sign up for an imeem account to hear most of the full songs…for some reason they’re only letting people post 30 second samples on most tracks now.
