Um if you are a ‘countrymen with a different political agenda’ whose agenda includes assasinating the president, or attacking blacks in retaliation for the election and ‘keeping america white’…yea, you are a racist. The report doesn’t come off to me as that broad. It’s focusing more on the groups that might recruit veterans rather than the veterans themselves.

In any case, if we’re going to make all people take their shoes off before flying just as a precaution, then maybe it wouldn’t hurt to also make sure our nation’s trained killers haven’t lost their sanity after multiple tours in the Middle East. Again, it could be as simple as making sure veterans have all the resources they need once they get home.

So that’s an excuse to paint countrymen with a different political ideology as potential terrorists, with the broadest brush possible? There is absolutely no difference between Bush’s philosophy of spying on everyone in existence and the Obama administration-led DHS’s latest report branding veterans as potential terrorists.

I said this before and I’ll say it all again, it is SO different when you’re on the other end of the spectrum.

Now you know how I felt in college when the Secret Service and my local Sheriff’s Department kept tabs on me because I wrote columns critical of George W. Bush.

If you dont go turn yourself in, I will. I’ve always thought something was aloof about you and now thanks to this report, it makes sense.

In all seriousness though, think about the way many right-wingers reacted to Obama being elected, the vile hate, the doomsday theories, and the hope that he fails. The liklihood is small, and this report is a step too far, but its certainly something to think about.
