Crimson House Sunday Night Worship

Tonight I made my way up to Crimson House for church, and it just so happened they decided to have it in the fellowship hall one last Sunday.

Over the winter Pastor John made a good choice in moving the church services from the sanctuary, which freezes horribly in the winter, to the fellowship hall downstairs, where we can better regulate a flow of heat. I think it worked well and judging by responses of many, the setting seemed to be a bit more intimate too.

We don’t have much of a sound system down there but I thought the acoustic worship was always the best part of it. You could hear yourself sing!

Anyhoo, I was commissioned to shoot a few photos of our last service down there until we move back up to the sanctuary. I took my trusty Canon Digital Rebel and tried to fight the darkness by shooting at a very high ISO setting (1600, to be exact).

Apologies for the crappy photo quality, but the lighting is horrible downstairs and I don’t really think throwing off a flashbulb in an intimate setting is conducive to the move of the Holy Spirit.

Didn’t turn out the best, but I hope the photos give a good idea of what it was like there. Bear in mind our church is a bit small — we don’t usually get any more than 30 people on a given Sunday — but it’s a decent place.

If you want to help make a small church a bit bigger, come on out to Crimson House on Sundays and Wednesdays at 6 p.m. We’re located at 1616 N. Robberson, in between Division and Commercial in Springfield, Missouri.
