Whoever Thought Weird Al Would Still Be Relevant?

Weird Al has defied my — and probably most people’s — expectations, especially after his release of “White and Nerdy” a couple years ago, with his ability to stay relevant to current pop culture. He’s been at it for over twenty years now (thirty even?) and he doesn’t show any signs of slowing down.

This time, he has released a parody of rapper T.I.’s track “Whatever You Like,” with his track of the same name. T.I.’s track focuses on buying his girlfriend high-priced items, while Alfred’s version deals with the current economic situation in the world and tells his lover she can have whatever she likes — in modesty, of course.

Take a listen here:

Gotta still love Weird Al. “Whatever You Like” is even better than his previous stuff because it functions as a good social commentary on the current economic situation as well as reminding us to take a look at it with a chuckle.
