Okay, so I’m officially pretty much unpacked now, and I just need some furniture and a bit of minimalist decoration to complete the new Chris Brewer Apartment Experience.
I got a new apartment here in Springfield, which means I no longer live with Mom in Republic (it’s good to be on my own yet I miss Mom and Cocoa), and it’s been an adventure so far.
Yesterday I hung three framed posters up on the outer wall of my living room to make the room look a bit more homey. I think I did a good job, check it out here:

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Back to the Future and a painting of Wrigley Field in Chicago.
So yeah, the apartment is cool. Thanks to Mom, Dad and Jason for their help in moving my boxes, bed and two desks; and also to Mom and Dad for being benevolent and letting me have their two old computer desks. My apartment would massively suck if it weren’t for the desks, seriously.
Speaking of Mom and Dad, it was wonderful to be able to hang with them yesterday before Dad had to fly back to Las Vegas. We went to Cielito Lindo on South Campbell, and I was able to snap a couple photos of them and myself:

Mom and Dad, still lookin’ young in their late 40s.

The parents and a very chubby-faced me. It was only a bad camera angle, I swear.
It was also a pleasant surprise to see 5/8 of the Pace family, our former pastors up at Crimson House in North Springfield. Good talking to them and word does travel fast that I indeed shoot video for the N-L…they asked me how the job was going. :D
Let’s go back to talking about the apartment for a minute. I prayed throughout it and dedicated it and my time in it to the Lord, that it would be a safe haven for those who enter it, that it may be a welcome place and one that the Lord’s presence may be felt in. I was washing the dishes two nights ago when I prayed for one specific thing I could do to bless people during my time here.
You know what he answered with? It kinda shocked me.
Feed the hungry. That’s it. Feed the hungry.
I still don’t know if it means physically feed people, as in shelter the homeless or anything like that, or if it means be a place of spiritual refuge and a place where people can study God’s word — or both. One thing I do know is that I feel led to begin an interdenominational Bible study here for all my friends from various churches around the area to be blessed and enriched, and I plan on beginning that soon.
I’m not one to normally ask a bunch of people for prayer but if you are a believer in Christ, and you’ve read this, would you please pray about this word the Lord gave me? He has blessed me with this new apartment and I want to turn around and honor the direction He has given me…and I need some clarity on it.
Be well, everyone!

Yeah! That’s awesome that your life is being blessed by God! I am sooo excited about where your life is going in Christ! Keep listening to Him and you won’t go wrong.

“The Chris Brewer Apartment Experience”? That sounds like an amusement park ride.
Love the Ferris Bueller poster; that’s one of my favorite movies. :)
That’s awesome how you prayed over your new place; that is one blessed apartment!
Congrats on the new pad!
I’ll pray about that word from Dad.
