3.88 inches over six hours in Springfield, and my Mom tells me we doubled that in Republic, just eight miles to the southwest of town.
Numerous water rescues, two of which I witnessed.
Roads becoming creek beds and people all over Springfield trying to find their way home.
This rain was insane. I never want to have to live through anything like it again. I went and shot footage of Sequiota Park, Galloway Creek, and some local thoroughfares that were completely flooded over — and I’ve gotta tell you I’ve never seen an area so horribly impacted by such a large amount of rain in this short a time.
I also can’t believe people tried to drive through rushing water. How many times do they need to be told to STAY AWAY?
Since I’m on the clock, I’ll link you to some video and photos courtesy of our good old multimedia folks, including myself. More photos to come, stay tuned and I’ll link ya.
