Sorry, so sorry, so so sorry for not updating over the past couple days. There are a few things that are new in my life.
The new developments in my life consist of the following:
- I joined the James River Assembly choir. I have been classified as a second tenor. They needed tenors and I’ve been going to the choir practices for the past couple weeks with Rich Schultz. Boy does my voice ever hurt afterward. It’s been GREAT to meet the folks there and get to know some of the people. I look forward to what’s to come.
- Speaking of music, I am currently composing my second piece for an upcoming EP or album I plan to share with the general public by the end of the year. I don’t know what it will be called yet, but it will be kinda like a soft rap to a heavily sampled section of Grace Jones’ “Don’t Cry, It’s Only The Rhythm.” I absolutely adore Fairlight CMI synthesizers and this track drips with it (and David Gilmour’s guitar work too, I might add). It’s 1985 all over again.
- I’m still apartment hunting. I don’t know when I’ll move out but it won’t be anytime in April.
- We’re expecting nasty weather tomorrow. Oh Joy!
What are you guys singing right now?
A bunch of ‘em. We’re starting to prep for the Fourth of July celebration, and also singing some songs like Leeland’s “Enter This Temple,” and “Everything” by Tim Hughes.
Apparently you have to attend three practices after initially signing up so my first Sunday morning with the choir will be May 1.
WOOT! But May 1st is a Thursday, sorry to burst your bubble. I will be home that weekend! WOOT! I can listen to my brother’s beautiful voice!
Hey, BTW, I noticed a LOT of seemingly eligible young ladies in the choir…. Just sayin’….

Yes, Jason which is why you need to get out of the military, join your brother in finding a Christian gal and get married! I want grandbabies!!!
Okay I am not sure if I made my “hint” clear enough. In the words of Don Knotts “Let me clarify this”. It is time you both do your part in living out the Biblical mandate of multiplying and replenishing the earth. MInd you not all of the earth just this small area in Missouri where I live!
Um…. I’m pretty sure if I could get a fiance, I would not go into the Marine Corps. So let’s hope this girl works out, eh? You want PRETTY granddaughters, right? So you better start praying things move right along with this girl…. lol.
