Now I May Die In Peace
Yeah that’s right, I can die in peace because I have seen the biggest snow since before I joined the Air Force in 2002.¬† We got a little over three inches at my place in Republic yesterday, and most of it fell after about 5 PM.¬† While three inches isn’t an enormous amount, it was pretty neat to once again see the snow cover everything.
This is how it looked around 4:15 PM yesterday when the snow finally started sticking to the road out in front of the house:

And here is how it looked this morning.¬† Nearly completely melted from the roads but there was some decent accumulation in everyone’s yards on our block.¬† The snow looks beautiful.

Here’s a view out my backyard.

And finally, the front yard.  Bad photo of the house, but it gives an idea of how deep the snow is.

So even though we didn’t get dumped on with about 8 inches of snow or so, we still got a decent amount and it was great to watch, and just enjoy for a day or so.¬† It’s melting ever so slowly today because the temperature is still hovering around the 20s.
I know I wouldn’t mind it snowing again.

I yearn to hear more Sniderman! I checked the Yahoo weather on my phone today and it said snow on Tuesday with a high of 44 and a low of 26.
Only bad thing is, I have to drive to Tulsa airport that very next morning.

This reminds me of cold. Cold. Cold as in sitting on my OP at friggin 0000-0200 in 17 degrees! AHHHHH! I hate the cold with a passion. A poncho liner doesn’t keep you that warm in that cold of a temperature by the way…. Just a though….
