The Winds Of Change Are A-Blowin’
Just six months into my newfound life here in Springfield, Missouri, and things are already changing drastically for me.
I’ve made two big jumps in the past few days — and they’re both for the better, to help improve me all-around.
First off, I started my new job with AT&T today. I’m officially a Part-Time Retail Account Executive, which means I help third-party resellers hit their sales goals and all that cool stuff. I’m pretty excited about the job — it pays well, and I get good weekend hours. I’ll be working Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Secondly, and actually most importantly, I felt the Lord call me away from Crimson House and to search for a new church body. There are many personal reasons behind the move as well, but I just want to ask for continued prayer for my spiritual development and also for Crimson House that God would give the church the impetus to grow.
Sunday night, as I blogged about in brief on Monday, I visited one of James River Assembly’s Life groups up in Strafford. Quite a drive but it was worth it. I met a bunch of great college-age folks and young professionals. In fact I think I met more people my age that night than I have met over the course of me being here in Springfield. I’ve been running on empty and needing that kind of fellowship and Sunday night was a huge boost for me.
Back to the work topic.
Since I only work Friday through Sunday, I would really like a door to open for me to work in multimedia — whether it be video or still photography, from Monday to Thursday. I am aggressively pursuing an opportunity and I pray that it is indeed an open door for something great to happen.
Things have just started to turn the corner for me and I believe that some good things are going to happen in the future. I’ve been praying for the Lord’s direction in my life and He definitely hasn’t removed His guiding hand. I just pray the final piece to the puzzle is answered in the form of another job that can really provide for me to be able to get a different vehicle and save up.
Then, and only then, can I worry about finding a wonderful woman to complete my life.
Here’s to hoping it snows Thursday!

Well, I can’t agree with yay for JRA but yay for the other two!
I’m glad you left Crimson House…it was spiritually killing you.

JRA’s been an encouragement so far, yes, much to my surprise but it has been good to partake in some good worship and listen to the Word.
As for Crimson House, I pray God blesses them and may they grow bigger than their four walls can allow.

Jason, what is so wrong with JRA? C’mon man, if he’s getting blessed there, let it be….

Chris - there’s an organization in town focused on support of film making in the region. Missouri Film Alliance of Springfield is 4 years old and hosting our 3rd annual Festival in two weeks. Check out the blog where you can find info. If you have a facebook page, friend me at http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=696975589 and I can point you to a variety of film maker events as well, including one tonight and tomorrow.
