The 54321: Electronic Music I Discovered In 2007
I know I previously said my next post was going to be what I can look forward to in 2008, but I was listening to some music this morning and came up with a great idea…to make a post about the best music I happened across in 2007. So I’m presenting you a 54321 with a 6th track.
All of this music is going to be of an electronic nature, so be prepared to get out of your chair and jump around. Even if you are plagued by sinusitis today, like myself. Enjoy.
6. “LoveStoned (Tiesto Remix)” by Justin Timberlake.
She’s got me lovestoned. I think that she knows. This remix has me lovestoned as well.

Songs 5-1, after the jump.
5. “The Prime Time of Your Life” (Para One Remix) by Daft Punk
I actually just discovered this one the other day so it can’t be too far up the list. Just the same, it’s a great remix of one of the more interesting songs on Daft Punk’s 2005 album Human After All.
Here’s the original track, along with the video in all its disturbing glory (an eerie commentary on how we all perceive ourselves):
And here’s the Para One Remix:
4. “Hey Muscles I Love You” by Muscles
Muscles is an Australian artist who makes some crazy vocal harmonies, not to mention some good music. This song is just plain weird, and I think he lifted the main melody from the Christian song “Trading My Sorrows.” Have a listen.

Very scary. If you sing “Yes yes Lord” to Muscles’ version, you’ve got a problem.
3. “1234″ (Van She Technologic Remix) by Feist
One of the more interesting remixes I’ve come across at any point in my life is the Van She Technologic Remix of Feist’s track “1234.” The original is a great track in and of itself, and the Van She version is a mechanized synth-dance version of it. I like ‘em both.

2. “Feel Good (TV=Off)” (Shinichi Osawa Edit) by Boys Noize
The original song is weird enough, and the Osawa edit makes it even more interesting. Take a listen.

1. “Jaded” by Deadmau5
I first heard this one on Dance Department (thanks to Joel Gibby for tipping me off to that awesome podcast). It’s pretty chill, and it’s neat to listen to while driving down the streets of Springfield late at night.

“Jaded” I like it.
I am so confused. Van She? I thought Feist sang it.
Anyway, I mostly like this song because of the iphone commercial.

Van She was the group that remixed the track “1234″ by Feist.
