Tonight I dreamed that Dennis Dixon was injured in the Oregon Ducks’ football game against Arizona early on, and the team never recovered — losing by about ten points and all our national championship aspirations being torn to shreds with it.
Oh wait.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
It is a sad day for humanity.
Once again, Northwest sports fans feel the pain of being oh so close, yet oh so far away.
Oregon hasn’t had any championships of any sort to cheer about since my dad was finishing up high school in Toutle, Washington (1977).
It’s gotten so bad that the best thing I have to root for right now is the Rainier High School football team to win Saturday and take them to state semifinals for the first time since the year before I was born (1983).
Here I sit today (2007) a broken and devastated man.
Aww that is so sad. I am kinda sorta iffy on if I like the Ducks. But it’s sad because he was the front-runner for the Heissman this year.
