I Air Fived Jesus Last Night
I was pleasantly surprised by prayer meeting at the church tonight. Each Monday, the core group of the church — about 20 of us — gather in the youth room to pray for our church and each other.
Last night’s blog post was somewhat of a summary of thoughts I had been dealing with after conversations with my mom and little sister (Evin). I had initially told them I didn’t want to attend the prayer meeting tonight but something weird happened overnight.
If you’ve read my blog for any length of time you know that I firmly believe God speaks to me in dreams. Last night was no different as I dreamed I was driving through Springfield, and I stopped at a major intersection. I got out of my car and pulled out a road map, and a man walked up to me to help me.
“You look lost,” the man said.
“Yeah, that’s an understatement,” I replied.
“How can you be lost when you’re already home?” the man asked.
And instantly the dream was over. I dwelt on that last phrase for about an hour before returning to sleep. How can I be lost when I’m already home? What the heck did it mean?
My interpretation of that statement is that I believe I am where I need to be physically, mentally and spiritually, and God is going to take care of everything in due time. Right now it looks like things aren’t going well, but God is in control and He’s gonna work it all out.
I carried that mindset into prayer meeting tonight, and I decided to attend with an open mind. In my previous post I explained how I don’t speak in tongues. That’s okay because it seemed my mind had a bunch to pray about already — and I left prayer meeting tonight with a great feeling in my heart. Don’t know exactly what it is yet, but it’s a feeling of excitement and a COMPLETE one-eighty from what I had been feeling last night. Amazing stuff.
I feel like I gave Jesus an air five and my life is all the better for it.

If you would have used a : instead of a =
and a ) instead of a ]
The smile would have turned out like this:
Instead of like this: =]
and I would have been able to imagine you smiling a bit easier.
Nonetheless, I smile right back at you.
