My Last Post From Oregon

Well, today wraps up my failed experiment of moving to Oregon. Lasting nine months, my visit — while short — was an eventful one, and one in which I have learned a lot.

I’m not going to make this entry very long, but I want to say thanks to everyone who I came in contact with and helped me. It was great to see old friends again and spend time with them. It was also great to be involved in the Washington COGOP camping ministry.

If there would be only one thing I take away from my experience here in Oregon, it would be to follow God’s leading and not trust my own intuition, because if God isn’t in my plans I’m only going to go down the wrong path. Which I did, and now I have a second chance.

I’m heading out tomorrow, and I’ll post again when I get to Missouri.

Oh and by the way, let me just say that Daft Punk’s track “Superheroes” is awesome. Any track that samples a Barry Manilow song and turns it into something great has my approval.

Well, this may seem like a really strange comment. However, I often think that God likes to use things that are familiar to we humans. Having said that, a pregnancy lasts 9 months and in that short amount of time, incredible life changing events occur. This last nine months just may have been a time for something eventful and wonderful to be birthed in you. Just stay sensitive to what He has in store for you ~ and learn from humbling life lessons. I know that I have and I am not a bit sorry!!! God bless ~ Lori
