Anticipating Camp Wa-Ri-Ki 2007
In twelve hours, we will begin the annual retreat sponsored by New Horizons Church, Camp Wa-Ri-Ki. This year is the retreat’s fourteenth since its inception in 1994, and is the only church camp in Washington State COGOP that opens its doors to anyone age 12-30.
Over 80 people in total are expected to converge on Wa-Ri-Ki camp in rural Skamania County for a weekend of fellowship, fun and of course, growing closer to the Lord. Speakers for the retreat are Pastor Frank Smith of New Horizons Church and Bishop Don Knoblich, the State Overseer of COGOP in Washington and Alaska. Guests from all across the region and from far reaches such as Hermiston, Oregon and Kirkland, Washington will be in attendance.
One highlight of the weekend will be a video recorded by the New Horizons youth group specifically for the retreat. Anticipation for this has been fueled by both myself and Dan Browning running the video ministry this weekend, ensuring every major event will be shot.
We’re looking forward to a great time in the Lord and with each other. Pray for the retreat, it’s gonna be great. I’ll write once again when I get back.
