It’s Snowing Again (On My First Day At Work)
I could be in for a trial of fire — er, ice (and snow) — today at work.
We’ve got three inches of snow on the ground here and it doesn’t look like it’s going to stop anytime soon. Some weird weather system moved in last night while we were all sleeping here in the Portland area and socked us.
What’s even more interesting is the fact that today is my first day of work at KPTV. They’ve been on the air all morning with traffic, weather and news updates related to the snowstorm and it might be a hectic day there. Could be a pretty neat first day if you ask me!
Pray for God’s protection upon me. It’s not too long of a drive into Beaverton, but with the weather being as bad as it is, I’m leaving two hours early. Roads in Portland are an all-out mess.

Hey! That house and ruler looks familiar! Its totally clear in Corvallis with no snow. Stupid weather. At least I got to sleep in a couple of hours because of late start though

Hi Chris!
The snow trouble for you would be wonderful to me back here in Virginia! At least a little of it. We’ve had freakishly warm weather here! It’s been up in the 70’s for the past week! Where did winter go?! We should NOT be able to wear shorts and tee shirts during the 2nd week of January, people!
I hope your 1st day was exciting and fun, and that God continues opening doors for you wherever you go…just make sure one of those places is back here for a visit!
