My Father Has Rejoined America’s Work Force
Sing a song of praise, triumph, and love for my brothers and my sisters, aaaaaa-aaaall over this laaaaa-aaaaa-aaaa-aaand, oooooh oooh ooooh.
Mom called me today to tell me the family received the best Christmas present they could have got this year — Dad landing a job. She billed it “the job of Dad’s dreams,” and described how he has taken a position with a concrete company and basically had a position created for him since someone else got the job he originally applied for at the same place. Let me just say his wages will be good enough in the near future that Mom won’t have to work anymore, except just be a homemaker. She’s really excited about that. I’m excited for the family, and it makes my Christmas so much better too. It’s great to see Dad have a job again. He starts later this morning.
Thanks for everyone’s prayers for my dad to get a job. Now if you’ll only keep those prayers going but replace the name “Jerry” with “Chris,” I would really appreciate it. Seriously, I need a job since the military is so slow in sending my DD Form 214 and I cannot claim any unemployment benefits yet. And I want to move to either Vancouver or Camas too. Keep that in your prayers as well, that God opens up a huge door.
Tomorrow I will be in West Linn, Portland, Vancouver and Camas all day (and in that order), so it’s looking pretty busy. Pray for the Daybreak ministry tomorrow night. I think it’s gonna be Cris, Pat and I going down there.
