Ok, I’m gonna go out on a limb here and predict the 2006 playoffs…
FIRST ROUND
Twins over Athletics in 4 games
Yankees over Tigers in 5 games
Dodgers over Mets in 4 games
Padres over Cardinals in 5 games
LEAGUE CHAMP. SERIES
Twinkies over Yankees in 6
Dodgers over Padres in 5
WORLD SERIES
Twinkies over Dodgers in 7
I think this year is extremely hard to call, and I wouldn’t be surprised if I go oh-fer the entire playoffs. This is the best educated guess I could come up with, though, because the Tigers collapsed at the end of the season, the Twins are on an absolute tear, the Dodgers have the best pitching in the NL and just enough offense to win when they have to, the Cardinals backed into the playoffs and don’t stand a chance. As for the other teams I’m not too terribly educated to make any conjectures.
You’re right, this years playoff’s are a hard call. I don’t see any one team being dominating. I would like the see Pujols do well.
But there is one thing about baseball playoff’s that will remain constant….. A-Rod will suck it up. Starting off hitting in the 6th slot and still only getting a single. I am no Yankees fan, and think it is fun to watch George squirm while paying Alex grand sums of dough, and in turn, Alex doesn’t do much more at the plate than make mud pies.
who is the twinkies
The twinkies? softies who are down 0-2 to the Oakland A’s
The Minnesota Twins. They swing at nearly every first pitch…
