Something To Praise The Lord For

Mom called with a bit of good news yesterday. Dad got a job yesterday, finally, a legitimate job with a Springfield company that wants to keep him. Apparently he gets good pay, full insurance coverage, a 401(k) and other benefits. How awesome is that? The family has been needing news like this for awhile, and it’s amazing to see how their trust in the Lord has rewarded them.

They’ve been in Springfield for over a year now, and they’ve sorta struggled along with Dad trying to pick up whatever job he can. See, the job market in Missouri isn’t too great, and the jobs that are there don’t pay enough for someone trying to support a family of three (well, it’s going to be two when Jason moves away). Dad has picked up a few jobs in Springfield here and there, and also worked with Johnny Parker in Washington DC and Indiana, but never had a steady job he could rely on until yesterday. Praise God for the great news…this means they can eventually get a house like they have always dreamed of doing.

When you get a chance, take some time and praise the Lord with me for providing for my family when they needed it most.

The same God that provided them a house has provided me with Steely Dan & Michael McDonald concert tickets via Steve Wiggington, a friend of mine. I’m taking Jon Masters with me and we’re all going to meet up at the Virginia Beach Amphitheater and have a great time tonight. Hopefully I can grab some photos and if I do, they’ll be on here tomorrow.

God bless.

Yes, we are both thanking the Lord for His provision, this has been a long time coming and as always; God’s timing is perfect. Your dad is not only happy but is at peace, we know the Lord is working this out, our placement here in Missouri. We have been called to minister here, and even though we knew it, there were times the enemy would discourage us, and make us wonder if we had “missed” the call of the Lord.
Your dad told his new employer that he wants to buy a house and retire here. So we are excited to say the least and anticipate more good things to come.
To God be the glory, He is Jehovah-Jirah!
