AFtan, I understand the purse thing, believe me! Have you looked on E-bay for a great purse, they have new ones from Gucci, Dooney and Burke, also Overstock.com has some great purses too. The way I look at it,( besides the true points you made) but if you are going to be using it all the time, it might as well look good too!

Ok. So the reason I want to spend 240 bucks on a purse. I am hard on purses. I find it to be dumb of me to go to Fred Meyer every six months to spend 20-30 dollars on a replacement purse because the one I have is broke. I have easily spent will over $250 on purses over the last couple of years. Why not just invest in something of good quality with a lifetime gaurentee against all wear and not have to replace the stupid thing all the time. Basic, black, untrendy...and yes, expensive but with good reason. It will actually last. I rest my case on the purse thing with the final note that I am not some superficial snobby rich girl that wants a designer purse because it is "cool." I want it because in the end I believe I would be saving money.
