Quick rundown of the last two days.
Friday, we went to go visit Aftan’s grandma and have lunch with her at Sizzler over in Longview. We drove a few of the backroads of Rainier and snapped a couple shots of some beautiful views of Mt. St. Helens and the surrounding area.
Yesterday, we took a trip to Tacoma and visited with some of my old COGOP friends up at Pastor Rob Judd’s house. It was pretty cool getting to introduce Aftan to them, and them to Aftan. We only got to stay for about three hours though…after we came back to Rainier, we remembered they were holding the Days in the Park celebration so we stopped in to talk with a couple folks and see fireworks. It’s amazing how many people we went to high school with still remain deeply connected to the area…we counted 90 people we recognized (officially). Amazing.
It’s off to Vernonia today to go see some of Aftan’s family. Then when we come back we might just chill out for awhile. One more week of vacation to go…it’s gonna be great.
And on that note, there are only four months left until my time in the Air Force is over. YUS.
Sorry to have missed this. They boys went to Grandma’s for the weekend so Shelly & I left town for the weekend.
We had to leave anyway…it’s all good Paully. I’ll be back in four months.
